“Every Pound Has A Story”

This brief is being written from someone given a second chance to live beyond his first 50-years which did not look very promising in 1999. If you would indulge me just for a few minutes, I would like to tell you my story.

In 1995, the effects of my addiction to sugar grew my body to a dangerous 356 pounds (171 pounds over my healthy weight). To complicate matters I was a workaholic, ate one meal a day, often went 24 to 48 hours without sleep, smoked 1½ packs of cigarettes a day, drank 15 large double/double Tim Horton’s high octagon coffees a day, drank little daily water and consumed at least four litres of ice cream a week!

Realizing that I wasn’t very happy with my current situation, I embarked on a four year journey to “find the magic weight loss pill.” By 1999, I had exhausted my “weight loss weight budget” to the tune of $10,000, gained, and lost a total of over 400 pounds using 14 different popular diets. The only positive aspect was the maintenance of a new weight of 310 pounds. In June 1999, I had an awakening when my family doctor informed me that I had achieved additional milestones including Diabetes Type 2, High Blood Pressure, High Cholesterol, and Venous Insufficiencies. He also looked me in the eyes and informed me that on my present path I would be dead by 50. I still had 120 pounds to lose and only eight years before the Expert said I would be dead. If it had taken me four years to lose 46 pounds, how could I get rid of 120 in only eight years?

Finally, in 2004, I attended a learning workshop, “The Protein Diet: Weight Loss & Body Treatment with Dr. Tran Tien Chanh”. Unknown to me at this time, this encounter was the positive impact on my life, necessary for me to turn things around!

Using the Ideal Protein weight-loss treatment, which takes a holistic approach to treating the problem of obesity, I was able to lose 100 pounds and with my new understanding of why I got fat I lost an additional 20 pounds on my own. Today, I am still a sugar addict struggling to avoid this “white death” one day at a time. I have been reasonably successful in reducing my dependencies on my many prescribed medications; however, the problems were created over time and will take time for the body to do the necessary repair work. In the meantime, Ideal Protein and the knowledge given to me have empowered me to help others both treat their problems, but more importantly help people avoid the many health crippling diseases created by obesity.
